With three days left I'm sure it will be out of my budget.

Not to worry. Its the 65/66 Lotus version that you really want now isn't it? :-)

Oh yeah, that is sweet. Seems pretty tidy, and at just over a day to go, the price is still reasonable, though lots of time for that to go wrong.

A few years back there was a 69 Cortina showed up in the local paper. Original owner car with less than 20,000 miles, but unfortunately a four door with girlomatic transmission. The price was right, but I couldn't do without a standard shift. No such problems with here though; two door, standard, red w/ black vinyl..... nice!

I wonder about the reserve. Bidding seems reasonable, but who knows what the seller thinks it's really worth.

Good luck! I'd love to see it go to a good home.

I always worry about a recent paint job on an old car for sale. Much prefer original paint, and all of its sins, than a flashy re-spray.

Still, that car looks pretty solid. Needs minilites, lowering, and a hopped-up X-flow with side-draft carbs and a gnarly cam.
