Good resources for vintage race parts valuation

Looking for some good places to look as far as finding rough values for some vintage race parts.  EBay and the like have been no real help, so far.

Specifically looking for values on miscellaneous old Chevron sports-racer bits, as well as Cosworth bda/bdg pricing.

We currently have feelers out with a couple vintage racing friends, but would appreciate any additional resources to look into.

In reply to grafmiata :parts etc are only worth what the market will bear. 

With few, very few people specifically looking for particular parts the true selling price is usually far below actual value.  

High demand cars with wide global interest can command a premium Indy500 winner,  LeMans winner etc  

Cars  driven by famous drivers Foyt Gurney etc  also command a premium 

however they are usually static display cars and parts have almost no value except to owners of that same car.  

Can't help w/ valuation. 

Dick Leppla, based out of Cleveland imported Chevrons back in the day and raced in SCCA and SVRA. He would be the Chevron guru, he passed away in 2011 though. I never heard what happened to his shop or cars after his death.

Being you're close to Cleveland there oughta be some connections to his shop left. I'd try contacting your SCCA region or SVRA for connections to his shop, crew or cars/ parts. There's gotta be somebody out there in the know of parts and value.

Wow, that website... It's like it's still the 90s.

Been awhile, but it seems as though there is a buyer for all of the stuff in question.  The parts are from a Chevron B26/31 driven by Joe Salyer  in SCCA and Can-Am under 2-liter.

Joe passed-away in 2011, while his car is back in England undergoing a restoration.  The guy buying the stuff crewed on the car back in the day, so it's pretty cool to know that all of this stuff is going back to someone who has already had his hands all over it.
