Help identifying funky 3 piece wheels - 6 pin drive?

I got these in a Porsche lot parts purchase. Shop did a lot of race stuff.

Anyway, these wheels are 15x10 and 15x12, with a 3 piece design. Similar to Centerlines, obviously, but not that brand. they also have a non-ferrous (maybe Magnesium, just based on the fact it's darker than the aluminum) center disc in between the inner and outer halves (I have an identical set of Porsche fitment wheels from the same purchase).

I have read that Halibrand and some others did pin-drive setups with knockoffs, but those pin arrangements seem to have a larger locating diameter (basically, a larger pin/bolt pattern). These pins are arranged in about a 3.5" diameter circle.

Jaguar? Formula car or sports racer? Cobra? Worst case I just bought some cool end tables, but I'd love to know what they fit.

These look like custommetalspinning 3 pc bolted wheels. I had them make 3 pc custom wheels to fit a Pantera several yrs ago (though it looks like their prices have gone way up). I'd contact them and ask about your wheels.

Nope, they aren't Custom Metal Spinning - I've seen those wheels on dune buggies and such. These are worlds better in terms of quality - made by Chassis Engineering/Monocoque back in the day. Used aerospace bolts, even.

I just don't know what they fit!

I saw this yesterday and thought I had the Answer, so I went outside and measured the Halibrands on My Cobra Chassis that are Jaguar 6 pin K O's 4 1/4(just under) inches CtoC Or outside to inside across, Hope that helps. I would like to have those mine are kind of Fire Damaged

Yeah, my 3.5" diameter was center to center, so they are smaller than Jag....

Have to find out what they are so I can sell them fairly.

I went out to my barn and measured several race car pin drive circle diameters. Lola T360 (formula atlantic) 4.25", Lola T8800 (Indycar) 5.25", FSAE car (BBS centerlock wheel) 3.5". So it looks like your wheels might fit an FSAE, but I doubt they were built for that use since yours are 10" and 12" wide and 15"(?) diameter? Since you bought these parts at a Porsche shop, maybe you could call some Porsche race shops and inquire. I'd also suggest posting on Pelican Parts Porsche 911 forum and include photos.

I don't know a lot of people that could just run out and check all those different race cars in their garage, which is exactly why I posted on here. I'm a Porsche guy, and did post on Pelican and Early S first thing - but since I suspected they may not be Porsche, I thought I'd cover all the bases. I posted on HAMB, but they deleted the thread. Sigh.

I also hit up Pegasus and some other places, but this is the closest I've been yet. I agree it likely isn't an FSAE car with the widths, and since it's Porsche related, I hope it's 908 or 910 or something cool like that, but the only guy I know that has those, is pretty hard to get a hold of and in to see his cars. Plus, it's Pikes Peak Hillclimb time here, and most of those guys are busy either racing or hanging out with the racers.

I've got some other racecars, but these were close at hand. I get the impression that there are more Porsches (and Porschephiles) in CO than anywhere outside of CA, so you are well situated! I'll bet if you put the word out among the Porsche guys in CO, you will find out what you have. You might also post on Apexspeed. There are some helpful, experienced guys on that forum, too.

OK, being that these and all the other parts I got came out of a Porsche racing shop - I suspect they are Porsche. Digging a little more, I found that Porsche centerlock wheels changed from the 5 pin pattern (934, 935, 917 etc), to a smaller 6 pin pattern with the 962.

Here are a few pics of a 962 hub and 962 wheel back. Anyone have a 962 hub or wheel they can measure for me?

Well, they aren't 962 wheels, sigh. Those are 6 or 12 pin on 94mm, or 2.496" circle.

Oh, and the pattern also fits Lotus 23/51, but these are so wide, I doubt that's what they were made for.

Thanks but you know they won't fit a jag, and that kinda sucks, they would be good for what I'm doing.

Yeah, didn't know if you wanted to to do some custom machining to make them fit or what.
