I'm still not sure how it happens, but the weekend has snuck up on me again. Anyone have any big plans?
Joe and Carl will be at the KIC. There's a British car tour here in the Daytona Beach area on Saturday. I'll be down visiting my grandma, so I have to pass. We'll be back in time to autocross on Sunday. (And we're also hitting an art exhibit opening tonight, so it will be a full weekend.)
I'm going to see Batman and visiting with Fred Gretsch (owner of Gretsch guitars) tomorrow, and nursing my dog, who just had minor surgery.
If I'm lucky, I'll have time to wash the cars, which really need it.
Let's See what I am not going to do that I was planning on:
-
Men's Weekend out - Trout Fishing in Colorado. Cannot go do to cost and that I was gone last week for work: Wednesday through Sunday. And the 1000 mile piece of real estate I have to cover to get there.
-
Road America Elkhart Lake - Vintage Racing. This is THE RACE to attend if you like sports cars. Looks like thunderstorms across Wisconsin this weekend.......
What will I do?
-
Giant killer cookout at my house with my in-laws. Friday night.
-
Family Day - Saturday - Wife wants to do something with the kids (Road America?)
-
Sunday Church. Cook hot dogs for the Junior High Students.
-
Leave Monday for Nashville, TN. At least I am still planning on going to the Lane Museum during my lunch hour.

I hope to get to the airfield both days, so my son and I can continue to learn how to fly an RC plane.
The TR8 (megasquirted) needs to get out for some tuning of the edges of the fuel map. We need to head to the mountains (45 minutes) to get the low vaccum, high RPM tuning sections of the maps done, while blasting up the highway from 1,000 to 3,000 feet.
I have a 16 pound brisket and about 20 pounds of butt ready to go in the smoker later Saturday night for dinner on Sunday. Sliced brisket and shredded pork sandwiches - Yum!
Oh, and catch up on sleep.
Jack
EDIT:
The brisket went on at 10 PM, the butts will go on at day break. Both should be ready around 5-6 PM Sunday. I say "should", 'cause it's ready when it's ready and smoke meat doesn't believe in clocks.
Later,
Jack
Well James went down for his nap.
I should get out and do some work on the GT6.
Need to adjust the carb floats, she's getting too much fuel at idle.
Need to reseal the tunnel it was a touch warm
And delete the crank vent system. On the last run it was moving oil out through the setup.

Scratch that its 35 degrees in the garage and I have an itching to play some bass.
