Are there options for replacing worn seatbelt webbing when a complete replacement inertia belt assembly is not available? Decades ago I had an upholstery shop sew in new webbing but they seem reluctant to do that today.
I've had good luck cleaning old seat belts by putting some clothes washing detergent in a bucket of warm water, letting the belts soak a bit, then scrub with a nail brush, rinse and let dry in the sun.
As for replacing the webbing, try Ssnake Oyl https://www.ssnake-oyl.com Juliano's https://www.julianos.com Both companies also sell reproduction seat belts.
Many, many years ago, I autocrossed one of my cars in the rain.
Afterward, I had a brown diagonal stripe across my chest.
Lesson learned about seat belts and their care.
Oh nice. I usually clean and wash my car quite often. As I live in Vancouver and here kinda often not a good weather I try to do the whole cleaning like every three weeks thx God because already a summer. In winter I did it like every week because of salt which can corrode a paint. Found this good https://gleamworksdetailing.ca/how-often-should-you-wash-your-car-in-vancouver/ washing service and thinking about to try may be give them my car to wash inside and outside. Have someone ever heard about them?

I have removed and cleaned several belts in my older cars. The ones that were oddest was the Jensen CV8 which had belts back in the mid 60s, but of an odd sort - diagonal only, no lap belt. I always wondered if they were intended to aid the emergency crew to find the bodies rather than to save the occupants from injury. The most painful belts to restore are the ones with auto retractors!
