Now, after all of the prep work, it’s time to spray some color on our Bugeye Sprite.
Javier of Jeff’s Restorations laid down two or three coats of PPG base in our car’s original Iris Blue.
The interior and underneath of the car were done separately from the top side. And, yes, everything else has to be carefully masked …
Having done this...once...you have to really, really enjoy doing body work, prep and paint or it's a colossal nightmare. I can't afford to pay someone to do it, and hate doing it myself (at least I tried) so no longer buy cars that need paint.
