It's sad to see Twist close his doors. I was at his shop a year ago, and he has some amazing stuff in there.
Well, knew it was coming. Talked with John and learned he'd still be working on cars and on the talking circuit, if a good bit less than before.
So I see by the listing he is keeping his tools and many of his traveling toys and exhibits. The auction listing seems to be for memorabilia and petty shop stuff like some chairs and a cabinet. I'd planned on going up to the auction, but having looked through the listing, don't think I will.
That's too bad....

We have been working for the past several weeks cleaning, identifying, and photographing all the items which will be in the auction. You need not attend to bid -- simply visit www.vkauctions.com -- but this will be one of the most fascinating events of the fall. It's hard to compare this event to any other. It certainly won't be as large as the factory auction in 1981 and there are no cars of great value as in the Ponder auction of several years ago.
