Not quite your neighborhood but in Pittsburgh. This is the rarest version of an Alpine (series 3). Looks to be in VG shape. I am 6'2" 250 lbs and fit my Tiger easily. Sunbeam Alpine Owners Assoc has active website and good support. If you are really interested you may find a member in Pittsburgh area that would check it out for you. Reply here and I can try to help set you up. I have no affiliation to seller.

Not sure about parts. My 1600 was comparable to the Sunbeam Alpine. In fact, the motor had Whetworth fasteners on it and SU carbs rebadged as Hitachi. It wasn't as distictive looking as the Alpine, and didn't do anything especially well, but was a fun, serviceable little car. The 2000 OTOH is a much peppier beast. With stock HP figures of 130 to 150, it scooted better than most everything but the exotics of the time, and is a highly under-rated car IMO. The most desireable version was the 1967, if I recall corectly, which had a lower windshield/roofline, for a more rakish look, if a somewhat more cramped interior.

I'll make this easy... I have a mess of Spitfire and GT6+ stuff to sell. Our original 1980 Spitfire project car is sitting in the back of the pole barn along with a parts car and another early Spitfire race car. Also have a 70 GT6+ parts car if you want to make a Spitfire 6. $2500 take all four cars and if your not nice to me I will throw in a Berkeley too. The 1980 has a nicely built (by JK Jackson) 1500 that runs, but has been sitting for a couple of years, twin webers, limited slip, roll bar, Cobra seats, rebuilt trans, GT6 front springs and I think brakes. Car is very streetable but used to take FTD at local autocrosses. Old race car is a roller but has race suspension, and locked rear. Spitfire parts car is an early 1500, 73 or 74 is nearly complete, so you get 3 spits, a 70 GT6 (with no engine or trans, although I have these separately if you beg or bribe) and the remains of a Berkeley. Need to get the pole barn cleaned out and will never get to my beloved Spit 6 project with everything else going on.

Oh, I guess I should mention that the 80 Spitfire has a light hit to the front left corner and I have everything to repair it as part of the deal. That is the main reason the price is not three times as high though.

In the past couple weeks I have looked at a 914, another Midget and a TR6.

I am toying at looking at a Fiat or a bugeye tomorrow.

Parts are much harder to come by on the Datsun. MGB parts are cheap and easily accessible. Probably the same for the Triumph Spitfire.
