I still fancy a Mk3 GT6. A Datsun 1200. A Fiat Brava 2dr with 5 speed 'box. An Alfa Giulia Super. A '67-'69 Dodge Dart 2dr hardtop. There's a guy near me who has a '86 Pug 505STi with low miles, a clear title and a 5 speed 'box. $500 drives it home. I really like the shape of these cars. I think the only reason I haven't bought it is that the idea of sourcing parts for a 25 year old French car is a little scary. It may still follow me home someday. Cheers, Scott

Plus, one from the continent will be LHD.

All true. However, I have my former Mini importer in the UK who can locate and ship any of these bad ideas to me. I don't have that luxury in continental Europe. Exchange rates also factor in. As for RHD, not really a concern...see avatar.

A BMW is next on my list. I would love to find a 1602 that I can stuff a 2.0 in.

Mine needs to have a back seat, as my two young'uns are coming of "car show" and "backroads rally'tour" age, plus ya gotta implant them with the vintage style early. So, (with "on my budget " as the always-qualifier) a 122, or a 510, or even a Datsun RL411 (now there is a tough replacement panel car), maybe a 1602. Alfas/Porsches just a bit too plentiful for my blood, and I am too irreverent with functional and/or homemade parts for their owner groups' tastes. That Falcon wagon is a cool one, as long as someone has done the necessary mods (granada disks, OD transmission) to make it streetable at today's speeds. Willys wagon with a modern FI engine in it?
