Sorry Guys! I've been there, done that, seen many friends killed in one of the wars based on lies. I wish I had been one of the peace-niks in that era, rather than a fighter. They, bottom line were correct about Vietnam!
I can't say this is true for most or even many wars. But I firmly believe US intervention in Vietnam and the Iraq war to reelect G.W.Bush who went AWOL during war time from his friggin National Guard which was supposed to be "providing aerial protection of the Gulf of Mexico" were both mistakes our heirs will live with for generations to come!
In reply to Rupert:
While I am sure you are correct, it will never excuse the way we treated you and your friends who served faithfully in a faithless war. It was shameful.
There was no honor in being a peacenik. I regret the ways I acted.
Thank you deeply for your service.
I call BS. The strap holding bullets is for something like 50 cal, the tube's diameter is closer to 81mm. The whole thing's for show...
Well duh, of course it's built for show! It's also Magpul's, and they're not novices when it comes to fire power.
In reply to Datsun1500: Please give you dad my sincere thanks for his service! I only served 2 tours of Vietnam while in the Marine Corps. Or parts of two tours since I was wounded each time badly enough that I required surgery back in the states. Then when I could no longer pass a physical, I was discharged.
I had a '66 Westy in my early 20s. Nothing suits like a Westy

Sorry about what?! If you've ever killed people or been shot and disabled during a war, the "war-political nonsense" is hugely important! Don't think so??? Pick your time and place and I will do my best to show up and educate you as to how important human lives actually are!
And yes, whether people live or die is more important than whether people own the ride they desire this week!! Human lives are not "war-political nonsense."
Hey Rupert, I was going to chime in, I have typed several comments...didn't like how they sounded.
Combat is an experience that is indescribable.

good lord, start a thread about it then and leave the berkeleying bus thread alone.

Isn't there an off topic place for this on this website?
In the summer of 1970 at age 19 I traveled across Canada and down the west coast of the USA in a flower power painted VW van. Started off hitch hiking but a couple of Cali hippies picked me up just out of Toronto and took me to S.F. Drank a lot of beer and smoked a bit of pot along the way. My "easy rider" summer of my youth that I'll never forget.
But I digress - besides turning them into military attack vehicles or hippy/pot movers they do have other possibilities.

Grin, thats why i replied to your post. Sorry if i missed my mark and sounded snarky. Wasn't my intention.
I thought it was one on the prettiest vw vans I've seen in a long time. Love the colors.
There are some other pictures of it on the web, with different firepower configurations and different tongue in cheek stickers.
There is a time and a place for aggression. Unfortunately we humans have used this emotion for plunder or geopolitical subservience of our own kind. We should be saving our ammo for the Aliens. Small blue marble.
