With some amazing cars, an impromptu con concours and a perfect weather forecast for the entire tour, we started our Orange Blossom Tour last night. We had some great wine, food and an impassioned talk from surprise guest, Hurley Haywood, who told to us about his fifty years at Brumos and how he feels about the famous dealership being sold. Bill and Jane Warner stopped in and the stories went on well into the night. Off to Jekyll Island today.

Day one ended with a sunset river cruise at Jekyll Island, where we saw lots of dolphins. Before that we had an impromptu croquet match. The Suddards need to stick to cars and not venture into the professional croquet arena.

Man, we have a nice group this year!

Got a photo shoot done on an amazing 1955 Porsche Continental with an inconceivable amount of rare, period accessories. Look for it in Classic Motorsports soon

Day two ended with us putting a generator on an MG TF. So far, our only mechanical problem. We had some great driving, and saw a 13 foot gator in the Okefenokee swamp. Today we start the day with a rally and are off to Mount Dora, FL for lunch and then to a private car collection near Ocala.

And day three is in the books. We started yesterday with a two hour, timed rally leg through the Ocala National forest. After lunch and some shopping for the ladies, in Mount Dora, we headed to the 200 car collection of Rick and Jim Schmidt. Then we ended the day with some driving through horse country and a great dinner at Amelia's in Gainesville.

We are now back at Amelia. Yesterday we got to run touring laps at the FIRM, our official magazine test track. From there, we had lunch at Blue Water Bay in Melrose, Florida and headed northeast on more great roads. Our awards banquet at Bretts went very well and our best Orange Blossom Tour ever is now in the books.

We are running a more easterly route next year and welcome readers to join us.
