Her appearance on The Muppet Show changed my childhood.

Just to keep this thread going, here's another one of my favorite shows. Also really liked those cars as well. My brother has an Europa TC, but I much prefer Mrs. Peel's version.
In reply to TR8owner:Ah yes, Ms. Peel! And lest we forget people didn't always take themselves too seriously back then. Barbara Feldon of Get Smart is 82 today.
Don't tell me that doesn't make you feel old!
In reply to Rupert:
82? Wow. Dianna Rigg is 77 this year and Raquel Welch is 75. It does make me feel old but at turning 64 this summer, still younger than them.
In reply to TR8owner: Well you gotta give them credit. I think the shoe phone concept has started to take off.
After Ms. Peel I have to vote for the El Camino! I owned '70 model but it didn't come with that accessory package!

I could've done without knowing that.
Reminds me, I used to have a "joke" with a long-ago girl friend back in the seventies about The Shape of Things to Come, which the geezers among us should remember as the Triumph ad campaign for the TR7. It was sort of an inside joke between us that I won't get into here, but it popped up regularly.
In reply to Gary:
Did you know that when Group 44 initially tested their TR8 in a wind tunnel it was giving 400 lbs of upward force on the rear end at 180 mph. Hence the addition of the honking big spoiler on their SCCA/IMSA race cars. The wind would bounce off the rear window and back to give uplift. The "shape of things to come" may have looked aero but was anything but.
That Consulier picture brings back memories. We did all the advertising for them in the early years. I think I saved a box of ads and brochures.

Wow, what a nice car! And he even has symbols underneath it to indicate his IQ!
