Just some awesome cars. There was a Formula 1 car that screamed.........and three 240Z's. Anyone else attend this event this weekend?

Great pics, Pete. If I could chose would it be the Datsun 1200 or the Alfa GTV??? Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Scott

I like the Datsuns as I am a huge fan (265 pounds).

But there is something right about that blue/white stripe Austin Healey and the white colored wheels and low cut windshield.

That would be my car to cruise across the USA with my wife on old two lane roads. But since I am more grassroots, it will have to be a 240Z.

Arrrgh! I missed it! Actually I think I would have been water boarded if I went, in-laws are coming next weekend and we had to get the guest bedroom fixed up (still needs painting).

Still many more events and I have the June Sprints set aside already!

I will be at the Sprints this year. Where will we meet?

I have been going to Road America since 1982 and there are these two guys I have run into for the past 27 years. The one guy (Pat) lost his arm and wears a Road America soda can squishy foam holder on the end. That might be why I recognize him. (I ran into him once at Carb Day in Indianapolis - Same two great guys)

Pat told me he attended 33 days last summer and is trying to break his record. He has also attended since 1974. Back then he was a NASCAR fan, and his friends convinced him to check out road racing at Road America.............

If things go right I will be taking the Land Rover over with the roof top tent.

Rusty the 1965 Land Rover

although it is kinda mean, your Land Rover tent needs that bumper sticker "no fat chicks"

I was there! Best thing I've done in a long time; it was also my first trip to Road America. I used to go to the Vintage weekends at Waterford Hills when I lived in Michigan (mid-90s).

This is much cooler and bigger! I'll be going next year, too!

Go back this year for the Vintage Weekend in July. Also the June Sprints is good and this is the first year for the SCCA Runoffs at Road America.

I think I should have bought season tickets! (Do they even offer that?!?)

If you guys liked that event, come back in July, there will be about three times more cars, and HUGE parties in town Friday and Saturday nights.

My son was driving the 1200 pictured above, it was his first race, and did a great job until the clutch started slipping in the race, he still finished second in class and got interviewed after the race. SUPER Cool weekend for Turn Right Racing! (The photo is just off the trailer before we put the airdam on and changed the number to 42)
