Just wondering if anybody needs an excuse to start back up on a stalled project car ? I have 2 cars that will not or don't have fire .

One is my alfa spider http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/1932/

and my triumph stag has no fire in the wire
http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/1385/ These are maybe not stalled projects but I have not been able to fire them and drive them around and you know that is not good for them to sit .
My list of excuses is getting to long .

If no interest please post shots of cars now used as storage of junk on top of them .

I am parting out a 76 914 with a 2.7 CIS motor. I just couldn't do it anymore. I tried to get it to fire, but ran into so many issues.

I have sporting equipment stored inside of it (for now).

72 Super Beetle. My first car. I've had it since 1984. It's been in storage since 1995.

I finally started working on it in April of this year.

This is as far as I've gotten & I hope I don't run out of steam.

My 240Z project has been sitting for a few years now while I "restored" the house. Hopefully soon we'll see some more progress.

I bought this MGTD in pieces in 1988 or thereabouts. I then bought two more MGTD's, or at least parts of them, in the late 80's and then again in the mid-90's.

So far I've rebuilt the engine and transmission (at one of John Twist's seminars) and got the chassis in good order. My father built the body tub from pieces and and a wood kit that came with the first car.

It hasn't gone anywhere in the last 10 years or so because I got sidetracked in vintage racing with a MG Midget. And, yes, that is an MGA behind the fender pile in the garage.

I'm now in process of moving all this crap for the fourth time (hence the pile, mostly pulled down from the attic). I'm taking a hiatus from the racing, so hopefully I'll have some time to move this forward again. It may become a retirement project. My father tells me he wants to ride in it before he dies and he is getting into his mid-70's.

This was pulled from my garage while it (the garage) was undergoing structural renovations. It was disassembled by my dad in 1970-ish & given to me in 2001. I got started on it and had to stop in 2004 when my wife and I started adopting children and she quit working. The deal I have with her is that the car must be ready to drive my daughter, now 7, to her wedding. I have actually been working with a friend who also has one and have managed to get some small bits done. I've had the dashboard repaired and have sourced a few bits. When Jess goes back to work, bodywork will start in earnest. Don't worry - it's back in the garage now.

My VW GTI got parked for a bad transmission 7 years ago. I swapped the trans last spring, but I'm procrastinating over buying a battery and seeing if I can get it to start.

Let me count 'em... (granted, all but one do currently run and drive)

The g/f's 1800ES currently sits on jack stands waiting for me to replace the trans mount...

Her Spitfire is waiting for me to diagnose the non-functioning speedometer...

My E30 is waiting for it's poly engine mounts... OBC temp sensor... and brake duct bits (currently in route).

Her MCS has two new front wheel bearings waiting on the shelf.

The Cummins needs more things than I care to remember...

The TDI needs a couple of really minor things... but still... it's needed one of them for years (HVAC light bulb).

And last, but certainly not least - my 1800ES shell sits sans engine and interior in my back yard, waiting for me to build a shop for it and buy a welder...
