As an old truck lover, I feel like vintage 4x4s are sorely under-represented around here. Who else loves classics that fight in a different weight class?

A random google search:

Me. There's a nicely restored '79 F-150 4x4 that shows up at local shows. Always makes me nostalgic for the '78 I had 20 years ago.

1965 Jeep J-300 with a 400 big block 727 auto. 3/4 ton axles. Lots of custom fab a la my father. Notice the exhaust outlet through the side of the box.

Sadly it's been sold for a while now.

Love old trucks. Easy to work on once you get past the rust. Gratuitous pict of my '77 Bronco.

Had a '90 Trooper manual, silver bought new. Sold 3 years later. I wish I still had today.

Maybe not a classic just yet, but I built a Samurai once.

My uncle has a '48 Willy's Pickup. It was mostly restored, but needs to be put back together. This truck was a true 4x4. The first time I rode in it (before restoration), my uncle drove it out into my grandpa's field right after it rained. This truck walked through the mud like it was nothing. That Hurricane Six lives up to its name.

It looks just like this one, only it is Green with Green wheels.

This was my Datsun I had for about 6 months. It was a nice little truck, just not enough truck to tow a car with.

Owned a '51 Willys CJ-3A, 68 Suburban, '79 FJ-40, '76 K5 Blazer. All my other (6) 4x4's were from the late 80's and '90's.

Nothing like 'em!

hobiercr, your Bronco is rad!

One day I want to put a Fiat twin-cam into a Lada Niva:

I'd also like to own an early Suzuki Jimny, with the mean little 3-cyl 2-stroke!

Jeepster Commando. I had one of these in HS and part of college. I'd love to have another one.

This is more like a 20 x 20 but it's still my favorite offroad truck.

I took this picture in northern Minnesota 15 years ago and haven't been past there since, I hope this thing still exists.

My step grandfather has/had one of these. He died last summer. Now it's in the garage, waiting, for what I don't know. I'd have no idea how to even start the thing. I should go over there and see if it will at least turn over...
