Huge thanks to the guys from CM, I had an outstanding weekend. Learned a lot of important info on vintage racing and meet some of the coolest people in the world.
Here are the raw picts from the weekend.

Thanks for posting the pics, you have a nice set of my spit, red with yellow roll cage and a blue TR running nose to tail in turn 11. I had a few mechanical problems over the weekend ( go figure). Had to start from the back of the pack for the Group 1 and the Triumph feature races, had a blast driving through the pack.

Hi Mike, yes enjoy. I wanted to see your Spit, but did not find your pit area till late in the weekend.
Still it was a great experience and yeah I've been bitten by the bug.
Now need to figure out how to double my net worth.

Great pics! I was really hoping to run into you during the w/e but we were running around so much that it just wasn't meant to be...
I'm hoping I'll have my Spit 6 ready to make the trip next year!
Yeah... I've been bitten by the bug too... but have the same problem... :(
:)
I was in the FOT paddock, but yeah it was a busy weekend indeed.

Great weekend with a lot of great cars and people.
After having a great race Saturday finishing 2nd overall behind a smokin' fast 356 and in front of a surprisingly fast (to us) MGB, we were expecting more of the same for Sunday. Unfortuantly a mechanical failure put an end to that on the first lap of the Triumph race. What a bummer.
We'll be back next year for another go.
Thanks to the GRM crew for bringing the beverages and the dart boards!
Wow! That looks like a fantastic weekend. The crowds for the street tour were awesome!
Thanks for the pics - raw or not!

Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

What a great weekend. I've never seen so many Lola's in my life! Awesome. You guys see the drag racing XKE with the slicks and big block?
Monkeywrench, was it your car that broke in the esses or the one that pulled off after the bus stop? What happened?
I had my rear spring come loose, held on by one bolt, during the session on Friday. The rear suspension kept shifting from side to side as I came up out of the boot. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, felt like a blown tire. Asked the "crew" to put down their beers and take a look at it, nothing obvious to the casual observer and did one more lap. Something wasn't right and I found the problem when I jacked the car up and saw light between the rear spring and the diff. We fixed the car just in time to make the run to the village.
It was my first time going down to the recreation, been going to the event as a spectator for 10 years, sorry I missed it all those years. The village puts on a great event. I broke a 1/2 shaft universal on Franklin street as we were starting out for the old track run and had to hitch a ride back to the track to get the trailer. I must have stressed the universal out when the spring got loose.
We had one in the trailer and had the car ready for the second session on Saturday but got canceled due to heavy fog. Started from the back of the pack on Sunday for both races but passed a few cars during the race and won an Optima battery.
I'm running at the Glen again this weekend with the SCCA so I'm changing out the other universal this week as a precaution.
I'll be back next year, what a great, well run event. I'm sorry we didn't spend more time at the GRM tent but we did manage to get a few dart games in Saturday night.
Congrats to Tim for his 1st in class finish in the Triumph feature, well done.

I think I'll have to make the trek down again in 2009.

Mike,
Not my car, just crewing for it. #71 Triumph TR4 (the black one). Something let go in the motor, but the driver was able to get it back in the pits.
We had a blast at the Glen, our first East coast race. Amazing track, facility, and people. We will be back!
great to visit the GRM/CM tent and see all the Triumphs racing too! Tim, your car looked great out there.
Here is a shot of our two Minis:
Thanks to Newlin Keen, Track Time Photos for the above pic.

<img src="" alt="" />Great race pictures. The weekend looked like a lot of fun. One question though, doesn't anyone race a Big Healey back there?
Dougie
There are a few Healey's running with VSCCA, but compared to a top flight SVRA car they are well off the pace.
There are a couple in the Midwest though.

Thanks guys. This was certainly one of my best weekends ever! We are going to do it all again at the Mitty the first weekend in May at Road Atlanta. Look for the debut of our GT6 and the Moss pub , as we host a Group 44 reunion.
Tim, see you at Amelia and the Mitty!
We'll be there with XJR-4 (AKA) The Big Cat
The Glen was an excellent event as usual, the Big Cat ran flawless all weekend, getting down to a 2:06.2!

We do. There are several in VRG events here on the east coast.
In fact, if you look at ~THIS VIDEO~ (about 4 min into it), you'll see me following a big Healey. Me and a Turner (barely) pass it about 2 min later in the vid.
For those of you on the east coast, VRG will have their final '08 bash at Watkins Glen on Oct 17-19. More info ~Here~
VRG @ Watkins Glen '07
...and here are some more "eastern" Healeys (all seen at the VRG ~Thunderbolt Historics~ at New Jersey Motorsports Park a few weeks ago.
You can see several in ~This Picture~
