If things go according to plan, we'll* hit three events tomorrow: Porsche Club at Daytona in the morning, Mazdapalooza in Orlando for lunch, and then the cruise night in New Smyrna Beach.

On the way back from Orlando, there's an art festival in Orlando we're also going to try to hit. I guess that's found events. Busy, busy. Anyone else have a full weekend planned?

Fall always seem busy for me too, car-wise.

Three race-event weekends in last five weeks (two NASA with Escort and one vintage with Spridget). And I played hookie from school and ran an open track day at Pocono two Mondays ago.

Plus three cruise nights in MGB. And Lemons in August.

Going to Watkins Glen next week with Spridget (just replaced exploded trans in it last night)....and a 4-Hour with NASA-MA a few weeks after that.

And I promised Mrs. Aeronca we'd take the Miata leaf-peeping on Sunday.

But I'm not complaining....I'd like to retire soon so I can do more of this stuff.

It's fall here in the northeast. After the Hershey AACA show this weekend everyone goes into hibernation for the most part. Driving takes a back seat to wrenching in the garage. Or, if money is tight (or the garage too damn cold) I persue my indoor model train hobby.

We just got in and we made it to all three car events (plus the Winter Park art festival, too). It was a fun day.

That is bit like going to a wedding, Toga party, beach day and hockey game with only one set of clothes. How did you choose what to drive? Cheers Ron

Deciding which car to choose was a little tough, but since a Mazda event was on the schedule the Miata seemed to make the most sense. The Mini still needs a little love. We also have a new Mustang V6 convertible here at the magazine this week; it would have worked okay at the cruise night, but it's thirstier than the Miata. The Miata is also easier to park, and it just barely slipped into a perfect spot at the art festival. Since we didn't get much rain (the Miata is on race tires) it all went well.

You now can proudly wear the "3 in one day" belt buckle.

As a friend once said, that and 35 cents will get me a cup of coffee.
