Time warp has me all caught up in a tizzy.
1967 Alfa Romeo GTV only because I'd love to race one for sure.
2nd E-Type ;0

As much as I love E-types, I've gotta go with the GT 350... although if it was a year earlier, the decision would have been easier.
I had to go with the GT-350 too (been a Ford guy most of my life and the 67 Shelby is one of my faves), but gave strong consideration to the Jag and the 911.
In 1972 I could have bought an ex Hertz Shelby GT350 for $2300. Unfortunately, I was a college student at the time and $2300 back then would be like $230,000. is today.
I'm not going to spoil the results, but this is the closest poll we've had in a long time. Curious what we'll see next!
I just have a thing for those Alfa's.
Or coupes in that body form. Datsun, BMW and so on.
Just a sucker for a hardtop I guess.

E-types just don't quite do it for me - 2 years early for the 911 and no love for the fairlady. Coin toss between the Alfa and the shelby - Is it blasphemy to want the grunt of the shelby and the looks of the alfa?
I voted for the Shelby - only so I could sell it and buy cars that I really want with money left over.
I voted for the Alfa. It would make a great companion for the 73 and the GTVs I have in my garage!

I voted Alfa too. As much as I would have loved to say Shelby, I would've sold it way before it ever became valuable if I had been around back then.
On the other hand, I could have seen myself keeping the Alfa all this time.

Scott,
I assume you haven't driven a Fairlady 2000. I'm a Healey lover myself, but I also love the 2000. It has low end grunt and you sit near the rear as well. Other than no oil leaks and good electrics, the 2000 and the big Healeys have a lot in common.
A few years ago I would jump on the Shelby or the E-type Jag. If not for investment purchases alone but a few years ago I was more muscle car minded than I am now. Now the Alfa is my pick.
I went for the E-type -- always wanted one and I still do. If the warp had gone back to '66, I'd have picked the Shelby.
I picked the 911. I am biased to Porsches.
However, thinking on it, I realized that I would be driving the thing. I think that the 911 was likely the most durable, along with the Shelby, of the lot.
You are right Rupert, I have not driven a Fairlady 2000. I did have the good fortune to drive a perfect example of 1600 Roadster a few years back. I understand that the R16 powered cars and the U20 powered cars are not the same critter, and I have no beef at all with the Roadsters. That said, I've always wanted a '67 BJ8. Connifer green please. Cheers, Scott
Hmm... what a coincidence...

Personally, I wouldn't restore this car... looks solid enough to simply clean up a bit, go over the drivetrain and drive it. The patina in the pictures is awesome. Of course, under closer inspection, this plan may change.
Alfa, of all of those, its the hardest to find a straight one now. Its ridiculous seeing the $30k cars with cracked body filler under the paint.

I can't argue with any of the choices, really. I'd personally have picked the GT 350, but would love to have received any of them from Santa Claus.
