Are they all from the same collection or just part of the same tragedy?
Either way, we have noticed a lot of our British favorite hits from MG, Triumph and even Austin-Healey listed Copart’s South Florida salvage auction at in Punta Gorda, Florida.
All show the same reason for being there: water/flood.

And how many did Classic Motorsports buy?
Hurricane in FL and this is the result of insurance claims. Look for the "WL" on the outside of the cars for the water line to see how far under they were. Being submerged under two to three feet of salt water is normal for most of these insurance claims due to this weather event.

Unless any of my coworkers have something to tell me, I think we were all able to regulate our impulse control–at least for this one time.
In reply to Colin Wood :
I did not buy any of those cars. I just stumbled upon the listings while looking for something on Copart.
Well the red 1969 "MGB" is really an MGC 4 speed not automatic. Fully submerged too. Good candidate for a complete re-shell if Heritage can.
I just looked through the whole lot. At least 2, probably more former owners. Only the white and brown TR6s and the big Healey have future prospects in my judgement, and the Healey's is probably temporary too. Red TD has a Japanese engine and was pretty rough before the nose went under...
In reply to TurnerX19 :
Maybe the MGC's hood can be saved?
In reply to David S. Wallens :
Bonnet for sure, it is aluminium. All the "C" specific parts, and there are a lot, need to be rescued. These cars are a lot different from a "B" underneath.
Why on earth would someone just part out that MGB? Is being submerged in salt water that deadly? Since I have seen cars from the salt belt basically completely rebuilt to new. This one is good as dead? Or is it because it would receive a salvage title?

The MGC might be automatic - they built quite a few that way. Hopefully someone can restore it as they are getting a bit rare now.
This one was mine - 4 speed + OD
I had a MGB with rubber bumpers. I installed new truck floor, rear body panel left and right rear quarters and sectioned the left frame rail. Sometime in its life a PO had been rear ended and the body shop that repaired it did not do a decent job. Then it became a while you at it you might as well repair that thing. If we keep our fingers crossed it will not be parted out.
