We don't really have winter here in Florida, but I have been thinking about some off-season projects: a few rubber seals to replace, some minor wiring straightening, etc. What's on your list?

We have an insulation kit to install in the Volvo and Spitfire... I have to finish cleaning up the BMW and either sell it or figure out a way to store it for the Winter... Might install A/C in the Volvo...

I keep thinking I should insulate the garage so I can have a winter project... but I do like not having to brush the snow off the DD that parks where the project would go.

This will be the first winter in years I have no major car improvements planned. I'm thinking it might be the perfect time to improve myself (lots of room here) and enroll in an advanced racing school. Bondurant in Arizonia might work out if their schedule works with my trip to Scottsdale and Barrett Jackson Auction in January. Any input on advanced driving schools?

My boys and I are in the middle (okay, closer to the start) of restoring our '90 Civic si. It's going to be their dd and autocross car. Lots of work to do between now and spring!

David, I don't know if Tom told you about the black '88 si in Orlando, but I bought it. I flew down Friday and drove it back to Ohio over the weekend. I mentioned it in your driving thread, but man it was nice in Florida! I'm headed back down over Christmas time and hope to swing by and meet you guys. Jim

I have a perfect old stock dash to install and would like to freshen the paint. This is essentially the last piece needed to return the car to a decent original 79 interior. The car was a mixture of parts from various model years when I bought it.

I'm taking a class in auto restoration. My project for the class is to replace the rocker panels on my son's Spitfire. No good will come from this, strip and paint the rest of the car is sure to follow.

Things I need to do over the winter Spitfire car; Install accusump replace head with hole in it Rebuild spare engine due to oil loss in the back 2 cylinders( See accusump install above, #1 on the list) Replace radiator with aluminum one (see replace cracked head above, # 2 on the list)

GT6 If it's back from rehab (body shop after the crash) put all the shiny bits back on it. Replace the headliner, interior panels and new carpet.

Both 1500 Spits Paint prep for the spring

Expand garage so I can work on all these projects with out doing the car shuffle.

I promised my wife that I would tidy up the paint on the rear bumper of the Miata. The paint is cracked and chipped from previous bumps. The plastic has held its shape but the paint is brittle. This is the famous $500 Miata that has been a terrific deal and has only wanted regular service after I refreshed a few parts.
