For some reason, every time I load a new page, it resets to 77days.

I just reset it to test this and it got HUGE! Did I break it? Will it self destruct? What did I do?!1

Yeah, I had a JS bug. Should be OK now.

For a toolbar? Not following. I could probably make a widget or something though.

I just want to put in on my screen. I want it to live somewhere on the screen where open webpages dont hide it. Weather.com has a feature that puts the temp right next to the time. Something like that is what I want.

My sentiments exactly. My first thoughts were "Cool!", and that quickly changed to "Berkeley! Seriously? That's all?".

Firefox extensions would probably be pretty easy, actually. the timer is just a bit of JS, so really, it'd just be building a container for it. I'd be happy to share the JS and advice if anyone wants to try it, but I don't think it's something I'll be working on.

Edit: Here's a firefox countdown extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/468
