I had some vibration in the brake pedal and since it was time for new brakes I replaced all four sets of pads and rotors. Well the vibration is still there and I'm a little confused. Car goes into the alignment shop tomorrow and brand new winter rubber is going on this weekend.

Here's the kicker, the vibration is only present above about 40 mph. Correct me if I'm wrong but in a hydraulic system wouldn't runout be present regardless of speed? Enlighten me GRM engineers.

Slighlty warped rotor, slightly, for the faster you go, the more the warpage makes itself known. Low speed, can't feel the warpage. I bet you have one or more slightly out of round rotors, since this occurs only under braking.

i'm unfamiliar with protege front suspension, but on a 5 series there are thrust arm bushings that when worn out can cause a vibration that feels an awful lot like a brake shimmy, so check out your front suspension before you condemn your new brake parts.
