'04 Sierra, Denali package

Buddy's truck lost its instrument cluster.   When he started it up again after I asked a few questions it came back to life.  First time it has done this so far.

When it was dead, none of the gauges were working, the center console stack seems to be working and the truck is running fine.  Body control ECM going wonky?

Think this is a common thing where you have to take it out and clean off the connections.  The lights on mine go out once in a while and a light smack to the top of the dash does the trick

if a clean doesn't fix it, it's about $150 to get it fixed.

Thanks guys.  I'll pass it on.  Any outside chances on what it might be?
