My Dad's Rhino is living at our house for the winter because why not and it has a plow. He also put a Procom Engineering ECU in it.
My problem is that even when the temperature is in the 40s the thing is already starting hard. Now my dad has a dual battery kit that he's about to install so that should alleviate any low electron concerns, but I was more interested with the ECU and how it handles the cold.

The tuning software is pretty basic but should get the job done and it comes with packaged tunes. Also, for the real hands-on type of folks, the tuning software is free to download so that you can play along at home!

Looking at the software there is an fuel % vs engine coolant temp sensor. Now, knowing nothing about the volts coming out of the Rhino's sensor and coming up with zilch on the googles, a GM sensor goes from high resistance at cold temps, and low resistance at higher temps. When I opened the program, there was nothing but a flat line at zero. I am taking a stab at adding fuel for a cold start. Does this look right?

Thanks for any insight. This will be helpful for when I finally get my MS2 running for the Renault.

Basically yes, more fuel when it is cold. I do not see temp on your graph. What ever the current best running fuel map exists is correct from about 140f on up. If you have trouble starting at 40f, add a little fuel fairly linear from 45f downwards.

Is there any way to record the engine running?  Like all of the inputs?

10% more fuel isn't a lot- and I'm pretty sure you will need a lot more than that.  That voltage range would either be 200-250F or -40-0 F- not really where you need to improve it.  Ironically, if you are that hot, you may want to run more fuel to help cool it down.  But it's not really enough for 0 or below.  That being 0C or 0F.

Yeah thats part of my problem, I dont know what 0 to 5 volt equates to a temperature range.

The instructions say to only connect when the ignition is off or the ECU is disconnected, so it doesnt look like I will be able to see anything while its running.

This ECU seems to be programmable but its more like a modifier. Everything seems like its just how much more or less is needed. My guess is that adding 10% is actually adding 10% to whatever is already being added.

Should I added near the 0v end or at the 5v end for help with cold start?

Not knowing the wiring, and how it looks at the voltage bridge, I'm not sure.  I can suggest to just add it at one end, and see what happens.  Work your way from that side to the other until you see a  change.

I bet the factory service manual would give you values for testing the sensor.
