A friend is putting together an E30, and found a hell of a deal on wheel studs... except they are 1.25 on the hub portion, and the correct 1.5 for the wheel nut. the only vehicle I know of that used 12 by 1.25 thread is Nissan and they don't need screw in studs, because they are not stupid.
So, then, what German car uses 12 by 1.25 thread wheel bolts?

Not German, Italian! Fiat
Fiat 124 spiders from 67-8*. In 1967 the Fiat 850 spiders used 12X1.25 up front and 12X1.50 in the rear. Legacy rear brakes with the new stuff up front.
I knew someone would know. Now, secondary question- Does anybody need some 124 studs?
I thought 12x1.25 was a JIS thing. Subarus are full of them.
The weird bit is the rear diff studs. They are 12x1.75 where they thread into the diff cover and 12x1.25 for the nuts.

I think these will also fit my X1/9. I need to check for sure, but if they do I would love to change over to studs & nuts instead of the bolts. I will investigate and PM you.
Current Fiat 500s use a 12x1.25 bolt. We discovered that after some of my son's Fiat bolts got mixed in with my VW and MINI extras.
