Yep, like it says, I've got a fuel leak. it seems to be between the P-pump and the timing cover.
Quick internet sleuthing didn't turn up an answer, and I thought I'd try the easy way and ask the brain trust.
It is a 92, never been apart, other than securing the KDP, in excess of 200K trouble free miles. Do I need to rebuild the p-pump? If I remember correctly, the gear for the pump is just held on by a tapered shaft (and gear).
I'll of course, be researching, but if any of you folks have Cummins knowledge, It would be appreciated.
Being a 92 is that the VE pump vs. a P pump? I think all 1st gens are unless swapped.
Not sure if that will help your google-foo but unless one of the delivery lines was leaking and somehow made it look like is coming from the timing cover you're probably looking at a rebuild to get that front seal.
Could P pump swap while apart but you'll still be air constricted. Truck yeah.

Yeah, I'm pretty ignorant. Could definitely be a VE pump. I'd know more about it if the damn thing didn't just run. Here's a chance to learn more about it.
