Yes, I've always wanted a MINI since they revamped them in '02. Still going to get a classic Mini Cooper but this will do as a daily/autocrosser. This one is an '08 with 130km's, 6 speed manual. It's base so no sunroof, lots of helmet room.

This. Although, the quasi-gf's Cooper S is a rowdy little beast.

Why'd did you go with the base model? Was there a specific reason or was it a budget decision? Any moification plans?

I looked at a few 'S's but most had accident repairs and we're beat up. Had my share of turbo cars, needed something basic for daily. I wanted the least amount of options, knowing that MINI's can have electrical gremlins. As for mods, k&n filter, rear sway bar and black grill, that chrome is too much. Still have some tires/rims that should work for autocross. Ideally I would like to build a B-spec race car that's not quite all race car.

I like that color. I think I've seen charcoal gray grills somewhere - that would look better than the chrome and still work well with the color IMHO
