I liked the comment from the Whelen crew..."The number one car isn't going to win this race".......should be some excitement in the last part of the race this evening.
He got pushed by the Aston, but, at the same time, he had to have known that the Whelen was right there and it was tight. Hate it for the Whelen crew
It kept me entertained for the entire race. Lots of real close racing as well as a dose of old fashioned "Keep your nose clean and finish" endurance.
Aaron_King said:Good race so far, though it has been crapy for the Vette's so far.
And, by the end of the race, the 3 car was all set to win. Right up until the BMW punted him. It would suck to get taken out like that.
Crazy end to the race, bummed by the move of the BMW costing Vette the win. Also bummed Mazda couldn't get another win after the 5 car came back out of nowhere..
I haven't sat and watched that much of a race in a LONG time and Sebring 2021 did not disapoint.

Cautions resetting the field will do that.
That was a bold move by the BMW and it definitely earned the drive through it got after the multiple contacts with the Corvette as well as with the 911. It's a shame the Vette came in to check things over with a couple laps to go, if he could have stayed out he would have kept second rather than getting fourth behind the two BMW's. The BMW had the speed, he should have been a bit more patient and waited for a better opportunity.
I had the main feed up on the big screen and the onboard for the BMW up on my laptop, it was really fun watching them work through the GTD traffic at the end trying to keep in touch with each other. You could tell how desperate all of them were to get by but the passes aren't nearly as easy as they are for the Prototypes.
You've got to kind of wonder what the point of LMP3 cars are out there though, they're slower than the GTLM cars which makes it kind of awkward for them, maybe they are cheaper to run than a GT3 and fill out the field?
I looked forward to this race for months. Really wanted to watch it, or at least be able to record it, and watch it when I could - but the way they break it up across cable channels, online streaming, and subscription only apps, is beyond infuriating.
PICK ONE DAMN CHANNEL. SHOW THE RACE.
Is that so f*cking hard?
I don't have "Trackpass". I'm not going to pay for "Trackpass". I pay plenty of money already for way too many damn channels that don't ever have a freaking thing worth watching, pick one of those channels, show the race on it.
OK, rant over. For now. Anyway, it's good to see fans back at the track (wish I could be there), and good to hear about so many teams signing up for the season, drivers getting picked up by teams for the season, additional cars being added to teams, etc. Sports Car racing is alive and well in 2021, sure be nice if we could turn to a channel and watch a race without chasing it all over the broadcast spectrum.

Trackpass is $3 a month.. it's really not that hard..
endurance racing has always been something that swapped across multiple channels.
Also, if you have cable, you should be able to get access to the NBC sports app to watch these races directly on the app without interuptions.
You'll need to log in to post.
