This question is about actual tire diameter... not rims. Bolt patern doesn't matter, nor does tread or treadwear. It's actually a non-car related project. I'm trying to find out if there was anything fairly common that used this size tire.

If not, where could I look to find the shortest tire (as close to 20" as possible? Width? The narrower the better but I'll take what I can get.

Oh... And I'm talking CHEAP or FREE!

Thanks guys!

Confused.

Tire or rim? you mention bolt pattern. You want a tire on a rim?

Application? A fat 16" or (it's an odd, old size) 18" bicycle tire is narrow and about 20" dia.

I have a pile of 20.5" diameter Hoosier race slicks for 7x13" rims.

What's it for?

I appologize if my original post was unclear... I'm looking for tire AND rim (x2) but I'm looking for a tire that measures close to 20" tall, rim size is unimportant. I wanted to be clear that I am NOT interested in 20" rims!

This (these) is/are actually for "bumper plates" for Strongman Competition and 18" is close to the diameter of Olympic bumper plates. I figured 20" aired down to !8" to minimize bounce would be ideal. I'll drill out 2.5 lb plates to match whatever bolt pattern I get and bolt them them to the wheel. They will then be able to slide over a 2" Olympic bar.

Gotta be some golf cart or ATV tires that would work.

This. And lots of lawn tractors have 20" rear tires.

Im hoping to "do someone a favor" by taking thier junk from them! Would an ATV sales and service be a good place to check? If so, do people (or ATV dealerships) get rid of these things like I would (I have like 15 mismatched truck and car tires under my deck, we probably all do)?

Sounds to me like you're looking for some used race tires of the 13-inch variety.

Look for some formula racers or sports racers in your area and see if they have takeoff tires you can use. They run 13s and the bigger cars use sizes like 9/21x13.

You might also check with local race tire distributors to see if they have any takeoffs.

I like that idea, the only thing is I also need the wheels. I may be wrong (I hope) but would these racers get rid of the wheels with tires on them?

From an older compact, sound good.

My 175/50-13 combo measures in at 19.5" in diameter.
