With the spring being mounted to the upper control arm, can I remove the spindle from the car without having to worry about the spring? I've got a stuck bolt and cannot get the brake backing plate off the spindle without removing the spindle from the car to put it in my press
Yes. The shock inside the spring will continue to support the upper arm and contain the spring. Even without the shock the spring usually won't come out unless it has been cut without a spring compressor (or torch)...
Cool. Stock height car, and thought I can get away with doing it this way but wanted to confirm.
