This Bronco is coming up in a Mecum auction ,
At the time it was a game changer as most of the OffRoad race cars were small VW based , and Parnelli pretty much ran them off the road !
with Bronco prices soaring I wonder where this will go for ?

Stick-on, and a wig, as a disguise.
You've GOTTA watch Gone in 60 Seconds.
Even without Bronco prices on the rise, Big Oly would bring in serious coin. It exists on a different plane, like a Le Mans winning GT40.
Not sure why the picture turned the car into the "Cartoon look"
Maybe Parnelli invented the bump "horn" , he was know to use his horn right about when he was going to bump you out of the way ! The trails were many times only one car wide and if you were in Parnelli's way he was not going to wait for you to get out of the way , Mickey Thompson was know for the same thing ,
He was part owner of the Ford dealership so Winning was important to selling :)

It's a high school play with a kickass car chase.
Hey now, that's...
...yeah, that's pretty accurate.
The original soundtrack is better than the DVD release that his widow did in the early 00s. It is/was on Youtube as of last year.

I love Gone in 60 seconds , it was filmed around here and Halicki had a shop across the street from Vermont DriveIn and down the street from Ascot Raceway.

Also note the Cibie super Oscars mounted on the roof wing can be adjust up or down !
I like how they did the headlight surrounds. I also like how they did the front suspension using almost longitudinal track rods from the front instead of trailing rearward for better control over bumps. Seemed pretty smart.

What do you mean, "bring back"?

Those aren't the same. The white letters are outlined but not filled in, are not the same size, and the font slightly different

Supposedly Halicki was almost killed filming the chase. Cleaning out the light pole, as shown in the movie, was not planned and laid him up for a few weeks.
He was killed while filming a sequel I believe.

I believe your primary complaint is that they are not attached to a bitchin' Bronco.

I had Michelin LTX's on my truck almost since I first got it. White letters out. One day I went and bought two new ones and specified white letters out, they called me later that day to confirm it, I said yeah. When I picked up the truck I realized Michelin had gone from filled in letters to the outlines like on the Firestone tires Keith posted.
I was big sad.
