OK, been off here for a long time. My son bought his first Miata (Yay!) and got me back in the game. So, will the extra set of "daisy" wheels for the Miata bolt onto the old Escort wagon? What else (cheap) would fit and look decent?

The Escort should be the same bolt circle as the Miata and the same hub diameter. The "Daisies" will work. Since the hub is 54mm diameter almost every other 4x100 wheel will have a larger center hole and will bolt on.

Just make sure the lug nut seat profiles match up, should going from a Mazda to a Fazda, but many factory Honda wheels use ball seat lugs, some Toyotas use flat seat lugs which require a correct hub-bore fitment.

EDIT: Miata wheels will not fit, a 87 Escort is 108mm(4.25"), not 100.

'87 Escort may have the 108 bolt circle. Vague memory.

4x108. Is also a Focus/Cougar/Contour/Mystique pattern. Some Audi and Volvos also used it.

The Escort didn't go to 4X100 until the second generation model that was based on a Mazda design.

You could also look into Saab 9000/'88.5-93 Saab 900 for cheap 4x108 wheels.

I have a Saab 9000 wheel on my '86 Escort EXP parts car, and two Saab 900 steel wheels on the back of the '85 parts car. If you're going for looks, I'd just find a set of the factory EXP Sport Coupe/Escort GT wheels.
