Possibly. For what it's worth, my '91 318i has an engine driven fan and an electric auxiliary fan for the AC condenser.

Yes. A pricey plastic jobber you should be able to see just above the oil cooler.

The electric fan is in front of the condenser. Or at least it's supposed to be.
electric fan is for the AC radiator. The crank-driven fan is for the engine radiator.
