Hey guys, my wife's sister's cat got stolen from her '93 Toyota 4runner V6, I'm unfamiliar with its location, but does anyone familiar with the platform know if there are any off the shelf skid plates that would offer some protection? She's concerned it will happen again and I'm not located where I can get eyes on it. I could fab something up, but I'm not sure when she'll get down this way.
I'd imagine there are skid plates available. shouldn't be hard to fab something to span across the frame rails
Budbuilt makes a crossmember that "should" be widest in that location. Used one to put dual cases in my 94 but subsequently it doesn't have a cat. Would be easier to build off the factory tcase mount with some 1/8th plate if you want to slow thieves down.
Trail gear should have one too. I remember them being not cheap so cost vs. Benefit may null out.
Our Ford F-450 box truck got the converter cut out one weekend. Non-car guy manager took it to the Ford dealer.
