A giant moon crater (AKA pothole) has formed in the entrance to my subdivision that I normally use to enter. Thus, I have started to use a scenic route that has me passing a peculiar vehicle at the opposite end of my street.

I've identified it as a clean teal example of a 95(.5?)-97 Kia Sephia. Really all I can find is that they are Mazda BP powered.

It appears that it doesn't move much, so I'm thinking maybe on a day that I'm unsupervised I can walk down and take a look. If it has 3 pedals and I can find some way to get the owner to allow me to relocated it to my home, what would I be getting into?

Sounds like fun to me. I know I like me some bp cars.

Good cars. It's just a re-bodied 91-94 Protege LX, but actually with a slightly stronger trasmission. (It's a good thing, the G-series transmissions aren't known for being particularly robust)

Anything you can do to a Protege, you can do to a 1g Sephia. Turbo, FE3 swap, KL swap, more recently, MZR swaps if that's your thing.

There's more suspension aftermarket than you'd expect. Pierce Motorsports sells a Ksport setup that was created to his specs, all kinds of braces and arms and such are available, etc etc etc.

swank nailed everything except mentioning bpt options (which he likely figured were already thought of). I'll second Jim Pierce's stuff, bombproof rally tested bits. Limited slips are also available for the trans.
