Better welds, and new side stiffener. This should work.used .030 wire this time, and practice with wire speed and volts, this time

When I built a panhard mount I braced the chassis mount with a support that extended all the way over to the other side of the car.

I cannot do that, body structure in the way.. what I plan to do is full the empty box , above it across the bofyshell, full of fiberglass resin. The drill mounting holes in the body she'll. Add a steel.plate above that add nd bolt togeather .will post photos later
This area is a empty box structure. Runs across the bodyshell. It is hollow.this be filled with fiberglass resin. To basically make it a so old block. This is from inside th e boot ares.that part marked in blue is filled full of fiberglass resin. It now is a solid msad. That the panhard rod mount well bolted too. There well be a 1/ 4 plate of steel on this side. That well be drilled to match the panhard rod mount. Sandwich togeather.
What's holding the fiberglass?
Most I've known who put a panhard into the 105/115 chassis had to run the re-enforcing plate up to tunnel- just having a backing plate on the structure was not enough.
No fiberglass. The resin goes into the box that I noted in above photo. Image a empty box, soft and flexable, now fill it solidly with resin, concrete, what ever you want
Now the floppy box is now strong and soils. After I filled that area with FIBERGLASS RESIN. It will not compress underpressure .
If you still have your Alfa, remove the carpet in that area. You will see that is a hollow box. This, agian will be filled with resin. After it hardens, it's like a solid block of plastic. On top of the box ,I will add a 3 mm plate of steel. For added strength.
It's not hollow on the GTV's I've seen, including the one I have.
But good luck with that. Like I pointed out, all the racers I know have just put in a backing plate that went up the internal body work. If you have a different structure, make it work.
The other thing to consider is what side to put it on- if you are sticking with an Alfa axle, I'd suggest the axle mount be on the passenger side- that way if you want to change the axle ratio, you can just reuse that side and not have to fabricate up another mount.
For the upper arm, are you just using the original trunion mount "stud"? Or are you considering moving that to the passenger side?
Looking at the picture again, are you talking about the part at the top of the axle tunnel, in between the shock mounts? Or another location?

On the axle or the body?
