2000 Chevy silverado anti swaybar help

Anyone upgraded the anti swaybars on thier Silverado?

I have a 2000 model 2wd, not the classic body but the newer.

Was thinking of just adding a rear.

Any input, brands used?

^ Addco. I have theirs on the rear of the Swift, good quality, easy bolt on application and a good price. Likely be installing one on our CC in the coming year.

3rded for Addco. Have their rear on the MX6.

I've got whitelines on the Celica, but i doubt they have truck applications.

Maybe try Suspension Techniques? I have their rear on the EGT.

Addco, Hellwig & Hotchkis all make a rear bar for the truck.

Has anyone tryed one of them on a Silverado with the factory front bar?

Nope. Can't say I have. I wouldn't mind though.

Here's my $0.02:

• I have a Hotchkis TVS (Front and Rear Swaybars) on my '94 Chevy K1500 (4WD 1/2 ton regular cab short bed). It handles great with minimal body roll, although I have to watch the rear end in the winter with the awful A/S tires that are on it now. Honestly, it has far less body roll than my '97 328is with the Sport Suspension I work the truck pretty hard year-round, and it's handled some pretty heavy loads very well with minimal sag (truck only has the standard 4 leaf rear springs). I credit some of that to the rear swaybar. The quality on the Hotchkis products is wonderful, great hardware, zerk fittings on everything, etc.

• My parents have owned a slew of 2WD Chevy extended cab shortbed trucks and 2WD Suburbans, and we've added a larger rear swaybar to just about each one. It's always been a big improvement, especially for a truck with a cap on it. The last one we added was an Addco model, and I was very impressed with it. It's not up to the quality of the Hotchkis model, but then again they're in two different price ranges.

I'd highly recommend a rear bar, and think Addco represents an excellent value. I got my Hotchkis sway bars on a closeout from their site, I don't think I would have paid full price for them.

List price is $610, IIRC I got the package for $350 in 2002 or 2003.

Thanks dj, good info & just what I was looking for. I have found the Hotchkis front & rear set online for $530, good deal but not $350. Hotchkis has good closeout deals at times.

I believe that Summit Racing also sells Hotchkis parts, if you search for the part number they might have a more reasonable price. I really lucked out with the deal I got, I think there's a very small market of people who would buy an upgraded front and rear sway bar (stock had no rear sway) for their 1/2 ton 4WD truck
