GM platform. Turbo Ecotec. Really not that bad if you stay up on maintenance. Some haters will say parts don't exist anymore, that's a lie, Saab spun off the parts business which is still cranking them out.
It should be a 6 speed. I just picked up an 04 Aero convertible. Now that the wheels are balanced it rides smooth.
That one is an Aero, you'll like the bump in power over the Linear trim - better seats, too. One note of caution - the headlights are xenon and inop per the ad. OEM is going to be too $ for a cheap car, look for JY or aftermarket replacements.
That's a fairly rough example. It's worth a look, but doesn't seem well maintained at all. The headlights could be $$$ to fix or I could be talking out my ass.
May be xenon. It's an option, not a guarantee.
I like mine quite a bit. Only had it about a month or two so far.
One of the easiest cars to work on for normal maintenance things.
I'm gonna say that looks like a really good deal. Solid car and my brother owned one that totally absorbed his neglect of all things maintenance related. He'd still be driving it today if a doofus without insurance pulled out in front of him a couple years ago. He hit so hard he figured the rear tires came off the ground and walked away perfectly fine!
Very solidly built cars, maintenance really isn't bad.
