I told my coworker (the go-between) that you are interested. He will talk to the owner and see where he stands at the moment and see if i can get you a phone number. But if it works out for you i expect some rallyx driving lessons as a finders fee.

Please do, I mentioned it to my employer and he seems interested in it if the body is solid, so he wants to see photos. I'm not against going to take a look in person this weekend, either. Of course, I just got another car so I don't personally have room to work on it, else I'd snap it up in an instant. Ve haff vays of gettink engines out see bottom mitout ein lift...

As for rallycross guidance, all you gotta do is ask. Riding with other people is a great way to learn

Buy the car, pull drivetrain, part out the shell, rebuild engine with a couple of easy tasteful upgrades, find Fiero that needs engine..

I thought every GXP thing until the G8 was a supercharged 6. berkeley!

So, um, if one were to buy one of these things...is avoiding metal in the oil as simple as making sure it is ok right this second, and then immediately turning off Active Fuel Management? What is the failure mode - sudden breakage or slow wear? Driven hard, put away wet and completely neglected examples of these are all over craigslist in sketchy neighborhoods for $3k.

Scratch that. Well loved, new transmission, $4k. I was just thinking, track season is coming and I have had gutless lightweight cars for about 8 years now. This has got to eb the cheapest way to a daily driveable 300 horsepower. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/5964960675.html

I would do unreasonable things in order to acquire an LS4 powered Celebrity VR wagon. Fortunately, the people around here will understand that.
