i just bought a brand new civi si. it has been a blast to drive. all the civic parts are very impressive. im now a honda guy!
It's no secret that we're longtime fans of the Civic Si here at GRM, and we've even had a few of them as project cars through the years. So we were pretty excited to slip into the latest version: the 2007 Honda Civic Si sedan.
Honda is offering the Si in both coupe and sedan versions, and both come with the same six-speed manual transmission, limited slip differential and 197-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine.
The latest Si comes with a long list of amenities, from a 350-watt sound system with seven speakers and a subwoofer to onboard navigation, featuring a large screen that slides down and out for access to the CD drive. The extra doors allow for easier entry to the rear seats, of course, but they do add an extra 60 pounds.
The latest Civics are also the safest ones ever. In government crash testing, they received five stars for front impact and rear seat side impact, plus four stars for rollover crashes and front seat side impact crashes.
