I'm replacing a tire on my cooper due to a puncture and I was wondering if anyone knew how to reset the tire pressure sensor/warning light?
I do not want to go to the dealer just to have them do this, they are over an hour away.

How did it blow?
If you had a blow out or ran it flat, there is a good chance the sensor is damaged. If you used fix-a-flat, then it is almost a guarantee that the sensor is now bad.
Most dealers recommend replacing the sensor when you replace the tire.
The dash should reset itself, assuming it is getting the right signal from the sensor.
You WILL need to reset the dash if you rotate the tires.
Scroll through the commands on the digital disply by pushing the button on the end of the turn signal stalk. You have to hold it a couple of seconds at "set/info" then again when you get to the tire display. It's in your manual.
"Here, stupid"
That was my Dads comment to me on Saturday as he handed me the owners manual turned to the page with the information I was asking you fine gents/gals about.
So I had the tire replaced that had a screw stuck in it close to the sidewall and was able to reset the sensor, which is a rotation type like Mr. Suddard mentioned above.
