A friend needs a front wheel bearing on their Civic. Do these unbolt as an assembly or do they need to be pressed? The interweb mostly gets me people trying to describe the noise. If it is something I can do at home are there any brands I should or shouldn't use?

Thanks. I was afraid it needed a press. Looks like I will have to pass since I haven't gotten a press yet.

you could use that. I used it to replace the wheel bearing on my audi and it worked fine

That car is so common that you might be able to find cheap hub assemblies and bypass the guywithapress charges.
