I found a 2008 Forester on Auto Trader with super low miles that is a stick shift:
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?endYear=2017&zip=19446&transmissionCode=MAN&maxPrice=11000&transmissionCodes=MAN&showcaseListingId=406867234&mmt=%5BSUB%5BFOREST%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&modelCode1=FOREST&startYear=1981&makeCode1=SUB&showcaseOwnerId=69532&firstRecord=0&searchRadius=300&listingId=424979688&Log=0
Any problem with these?
Other than the obligatory characterization of all Forester owners as being flannel wearing, Vermont lesbians?
I kid, I kid. Actually that looks like a really good car.

The sad part is that most of us coming into read this thread have the same initial thought.

Found this Outback at the same place..
Looks to be about 4k more expensive than it should. It doesn't have the cold weather package, so no heated seats or LSD.
Hell, I'd be tempted to sell you my rust free 2004 XT with manual transmission, under 100k miles, freshly changed timing belt and all other maintenance caught up for that price and I wouldn't even take the STi bits off of it first.

Come to Oregon. "Not all forester owners are lesbians, but all lesbians are forester owners"
I am thinking of getting a Forester XT next, and I am a man. Hmmmmmmm. Maybe I am actually a lesbian in a mans body, after all I do like women.

How the hell does someone have a car for 8 years and only put 27.6k miles on it. Wow.

Headgaskets, right rear wheelbearings, and typical CV axles.
FWIW my wife won't drive another Subaru because our Forester had a CV axle come apart.
I just traded in my 2009 Forester XT after a 2.5 year relationship. I had dated her cousin Legacy before and it ended badly then, somehow I convinced myself this time it would be different. I was wrong. She was high maintenance right from the start, and then things just got worse. The most important thing that I have ever learnt is if you're not doing the hurting, you're the one who's getting hurt. So I dumped for for a local girl.
We had an 04 2.5X auto for a number of years. It had the headgasket issue, but was otherwise pretty good on maintenance.

That's a pretty skeevy dealership. I've been there a couple of times. They treat customers like they are on an assembly line. I will not go back.

I showed it to SWMBO and she wasn't crazy about it being in CT. Time to look closer to home..
