I like it, saw one recently in a parking lot and had to do a walk-around. it's much more elegant-looking than the previous V70, almost sexy in its understated curves. I had a 240 wagon, and I'd buy a V70 in a heartbeat, though maybe the XC model...

Me likey them wheels! I wonder if they'll fit on my SHO. I can't find any information on the sizing of these...
There are few constants in the automotive world, but thankfully Volvo's highly useful V70 is one of them. The 2008 model is full of new features and rides on an improved chassis, but its styling stays close to home. The Volvo isn't really about fashion, anyway.
This model has utility and comfort in spades. Even packed with five people and all of their baggage, the V70’s interior feels like a comfy recliner.
The Volvo is no track star, however. The suspension feels terrific around town, but you're sure to notice significant body roll on twisty bits of road. Similarly, the drivetrain is well suited to smooth and easy highway work, but it might come up short if you're trying to hustle.
