Ok so I have been working on my little toyota tercel now for a while and someone asked me on my build thread the other day if I was building a challenge car, I mostly dismissed the question by saying I was "trying to build a nice car" I didn't mean to come off as I am better than chalange car material I just wasn't clear what the $2015 chalange was exactly. I thought it was wheels to wheel racing and what I ment by I was building a nice car was that after as much time as I have in this thing I don't want it dented up.
So after doing some reading of the rules I see that there is no wheel to wheel racing so my ride has little chance of getting smashed into! So here comes to my question.
I was given this tercel by a friend probably 10 years ago, so what is my starting value?
It is a 82 tercel coupe
Was it a decent car, or just too decent to scrap?
Well when I got it it was about 20 diffrent colors because everyone got drunk and started tagging it in the parking lot of my buddy's motorcycle shop one night, it was and still is a basically sold car, I did have it listed for sale on cl for $350 for a while with no intrerest, I was out of work I really didn't want to sell it but had everything I own listed... well not my tools but anything that had wheels was fair game
The only pics I have of it when I got it are this one right after I painted it
Here is my current build thread she is a little rougher now that she sat in the field for 5-6 years

I would say $300 or $350 is fair.
Ok guys I'm going to call it $350 then and think I'm going to try for the challenge!
I got my 5th gen tercel in about the same condition as yours for $250.
