Hi all, my buddy is trading in his bone stock 2015 Subaru WRX STi and I'm thinking about picking it up since I know it's history, I know it hasn't been modded at all and I may be able to get a good deal. Is there anything in particular for that year STi and STi in general that I need to worry about? Thanks all.

I'm not a Subaru expert, but I can tell you that any WRX or STI that hasn't been modified is the one to buy.

I just bought a WRX wagon for that exact reason, original owner and unmodified.

^^^^ Exactly right. And with all vehicles (things), maintenance and prevention are the key to a happy life and survival.

The same basic STI engine has been in use since 2004 in North America at least. There's been minor changes over the years, but it's the same basic motor, so lots is known about them. I gather they're not exactly the best engine to choose if you want to chase big HP, but at stock output, I believe they're decently reliable.
