Yeah I know it's not a GRM thing but it is a huge car event and I know the Detroit area guys usually attend.

Just popping it up as I'm kind of surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet. I'll be out and about in my red 1969 Cougar convertible. Rocking the 14" hub cap encrusted wheels. Ferndale later today with the kids then Pontiac and all about town with my Dad tomorrow.

I was out last week on Woodward cruising with a work buddy in his swanky 914. The crowds were already out cruising a bit. It's a fantastic event with something for everyone.

I'll be out tomorrow morning with a Corvette to sell. Hopefully out early enough to find a parking spot with visibility.

I've lived in SE MI for fourteen years and I've never been to the cruise.

Mainly for fear of Mustangs.

I used to have to drive through it to get home from work Friday night of the weekend. Sometimes tried to go around it that day but would figure why not use my commute to drive through it.

Then one year I had to go through it Saturday and Sunday to be on site for some construction work on that weekend which was tough.

Seems to have been going on all month already. But building and building up each day. Lots of trailered cars coming into the metro area.

Anyone going to the roadkill nights near the new M1 track?

For the first time in 17 years I haven't been up once and I only live a couple of miles away. Back surgery sucks

I did not try to wake my Camaro from it's coma this year, so I'll be out walking around on Saturday. Mostly just because my father seems to want to go. I am not feeling enthusiastic about the cruise since I had a slightly negative experience the last two years. My Camaro puked coolant out of the heater core into the cabin in 2015, and I was rear-ended by a truck (on my motorcycle) in 2014. This year I just don't want to deal with the crowds/traffic/parking but I will run the 5K race in the morning and will probably enjoy looking at all the cars once I get there.

I have tried to go back home for this event for years, They started doing it just after I moved away. I used to work on the corner of 11 and Woodward at a body/undercoating shop. Had some good times raising hell that end of town.

Can't make it out this year, kinda tired of going on Saturday anyways (too many people and cops). I might try Friday next year.

I'm going up tonight in Sadie the budget-friendly E36M3, probably park in Birmingham and walk around for a bit.

I used to go every year. I stopped going a few years ago. It was just too crowded. The last time I went I took the mini. I got on Woodward at 696. I think it took me 2+ hours to make it 2 miles. I had an Excursion in front of me, a minivan to my left, and some huge box truck behind me just about the whole time. I didn't see anything interesting.
I went to Back to the Bricks last year. I think that could be a cool event if they had brains and stopped holding it on the same weekend.

Was at Road Kill on Friday, Bact to the bricks Saurday, then back down Woodward Saturday Evening. Kept moving around to find good spots, but the rain thined out the crowd a bit.

No, but we were at the Optima Film Fest on Thursday night. Had a pretty good turnout. Matt Farrah is a pretty cool guy to BS with. Films were meh. Stayed out until about 11:00 when they closed things down.

Obviously it rained today, but we were out there around 10:00. Usually end up out that way during our weekend drives. Nothing really going on, not that I was surprised.
