Well now I'm definitely going. See you guys soon!
Looks like day 7 is going by my house in transit, I might have to go check it out.
Looks like they are going to pass within 5 miles of Pitt Race but not stop? Bummer. I'll go wave at them from the side of the Turnpike!
I was hoping for a PittRace stop as it's one of the few tracks on the list I'm familiar with.
a friend and I are taking an e46m3 as our first time trying to complete one lap! we're pretty excited.
This is something I want to do with my Dad one day. He's into cars and racing, but hasn't ever been on track. This track list is interesting to me and geographically convenient to us, but I don't have a suitable car ready for this year. I'll wave as they drive through Akron.
They're coming through here too but no stop scheduled.

Won't be making this one YET. Not enough $$$ yet, and have to get the instructional time in at some HPDE's.
Kinda worried I may be in need for a co-driver in 2018 though.

Anxious to stop by! See you there in our 370Z...which will hopefully be supercharged by then!

Aside from the competition stops there are additional stops required along the way. The GRM offices are one of these stops along the way. Last year they stopped at Great Lakes Harley Davidson in Avon, OH (relatively close to my home) but I did not realize this was a required stop until too late.
The posted schedule only shows the competition/track stops. When can we expect or where can we get an entire list of secondary stops like the GRM offices?
My understanding is the there is always a little flexibility built into the schedule. Things like going by a track and not stopping are a form of "just in case" by Brock.
I'll start a One Lap thread once we are officially on the entry list and use that to try and keep everyone updated and the GRM participants in touch with each other. Should be a fun time as always.

If you guys want, for the guys here on the forum that are running, I'd be more than happy to cut out some vinyls for you all to run somewhere. Just have to figure out what you'd be allowed to have for GRM logos and whom I'd have to ask for permission to do so. Some kind of "Team GRM Forums" kinda thing.
No charge, of course.
We already run GRM stickers as part of the sticker package, so that's covered. What I'd personally like to see is stickers that incorporated our user names. Some sort of:
GRM ultimadork: mazdeuce
That sort of thing. Make it easy for people to come find us when out in the wild.

Let me ask Brock about that.

John, and David, so far our stop at GRM World Headquarters is the only passage control to be scheduled. There is some talk about one in the Atlanta region, perhaps the new Tire Rack Depot, or another in Birmingham Sunday night. Since the run from CMP to Dominion is relatively short, by OLOA standards, I may see if we can find a stop along the way.
And now we have heard from the source.
Thanks, Brock!

We're thinking along the same lines. Once there's a better idea who from the forum is running we can settle on an idea and I'll make em up for you all.

re: CMP to OD, I was a little surprised that the "usual" stop over at BMW Performance wasn't there. Always a fun one that, will be missed.

Depends on if you need a "co-driver" for the track stuff, or are just looking for a transit driver. If someone on the board doesn't jump at that chance, Brock can sometimes help finding a willing partner.
CMP is only 60 miles from me, and I think that I have that day off! WooHoo!

First I need to make sure to get my track instruction done this year, and make sure the car will be able to survive, then I'll figure out what kind of co-driver I need. I won't lie, having just a transit driver along with me does have a level of appeal in that I get twice the track time.
But I'm not running till 2018, so I have time.

Two words. 'Polar Vortex'.
