Well I accepted the new job and now need to relocate 8 hours away. This will be a major set-back for Datsaniti, but at least it's 8 hours in the correct direction, now within 6 hours of the Challenge!

But I’ll be driving down in this:
Congrats! That thing is a beauty!
Thanks.
At $2000 off the asking price, I was pretty sure I couldn’t build something comparable for the same price, even if my labor was free.
Not Challenge legal, but lots of fun. And less sweat and stress!

I've gone quite insane with Valve Cover Racers. I think I'm bringing six this year to loan out. The latest one is GMC truck based, so it has a "tow hitch". I made up a trophy to present to the lucky winner.... but then stumbled across a pretty snazzy real trophy. Snazzy will likely win out over home made. :-)
Can Colin partake of the valve cover raceshare program? Because I’m not going to have time to make him one this year
Yes, of course. I'm bringing 6 racers to share with anyone interested.
This year we should have a little 15-20 minute warm up (practice) session before the real competition. People could see how things work, or maybe realize it's time to do some adjusting.
In reply to MrJoshua :
Bring it on. I need a weekend vacation from reality. You still have my number?
In reply to SVreX :
I'm going to confirm with Pops that he's not coming and if so you're on for both Paul
I’ll be there with a car in however many days. Do I currently own the car I’m bringing? Even I don’t know. Life has been going well. Not much time has been spent working on cars.
With so many dropping out prematurely, my chances of a top finish keep going up.
We still have almost three months, no use throwing in the towel before the last day of September!
And if anyone from the Dallas area wants to join a team, I may have some openings.

That's the best damn excuse a man can have!
or reason
In the ongoing tales from.... "As The World Turns" ... Paul sold a Fiero to Ron. Ron kept the Engine, offered up the rest at a very fair price, posted on different sites But no takers BEFORE Ron finds ............ a NEW Job, in Orlando, so it's free to me on a come now deal, when the rain stops I'LL HOOK UP THE TRAILER. it's a fastback so if I swap the rear body panels is it free or what. I may wait I just PAINTED THIS ONE.
In reply to GTXVette :
Are you talking about my Fiero?
Thats a great car- 1988 (better suspension), completely rust free.
You're crazy if you don’t grab it.
(But it's not a fastback)
Drag racing this year's Q45 for the first time tonight.
14.804 in first pass
14,805 in second pass
Now lined up for a 3rd pass
Hit the bottle or i’m not feeding you sunday(if you’re still planning to come). I’ll feed your family but you have to watch them eat
The bottle is not gonna happen tonight.
I'm really unprepared to be here and it was unlikely if I was actually going to be able to attend. At 6pm I made the decision to go.
An interesting car I got a pic of...
Volvo Bertone body with a dial time of 9.84
Lost in the 3rd at 14.99
A bad launch (actually worst launch; they all were bad) and stayed in 2nd too long (bumping off rev limiter)
Home by 10:20. Great time.

13.9x is the challenge record for a Q45. I hope you or Stampie can beat it.
Fixed that for you.

Hello gauntlet.
I've lost track of the Wagon Sub-class. Who else do we have here? I'm still shooting for Datsaniti to be ready.

Or maybe I need to fix mine and cut a few more pounds out.
Andrew told me only a 100 shot and I have to run water in my radiator.
If if everything goes as planned I will have a wagon at the challenge.
You'll need to log in to post.
