I actually drove our car yesterday for about 400'.  The test autocross is not until next month, but the car felt promising.  Though 90% of that feel could have been the new tires.  Let's see how easily it swaps ends at the autocross.   

We test autocrossed the car last weekend.   Tod came back after his run ... basically saying that the car is a piece of garbage.  :(     I took the car out and it drove a bit like an overheating boat with one back brake locking up.  So we put together a "to do" list and luckily we have a little time left.  

Oh, at one point I thought there was a motor problem on one of Tod's runs because there was a huge cloud of black smoke.  It turned out to be a locked up tire.  Yikes, I hope we don't have to look for a new one.  (We're kind of cheap.)  

I cancelled my reservations the other day.  Reality has set in and i haz sads

I'm thinking about going, I'll have to see how much money I have left after I've paid for a whole heap of work on my Samurai, which will be this weekend. Also looking to split a room.

I might be in on splitting a room too. I should know after this weekend.

Ok stupid question, I am joining up with the PLB team. What do I need to do to register myself? (looks like the car is already registered).

Just buy a banquet ticket so you can get a wristband to eat bbq at the track friday and go to the banquet Saturday.

Motorsportreg.com and look for grm challenge, and if you can’t get them separate there hit up someone in the GRM office like Nancy who is awesome at getting things taken care of.  

Last year I'm pretty sure I bought my banquet ticket on the GRM store section.

I was commenting to mazdeuce yesterday that I wasn't sure how things were going for you with your latest Q45... guess this update dropped when I was in the middle of all my own world-upside and non-hair on fire.  Good luck rallying it to the ready, sorry I can't offer to get some F-250 tow time.

We're going to have an NA Miata, but short on funds for a decent set of autox tires. I do have room in the budget for same (since, oh yeah... they're "free")

Would anyone either have a set of autox tires on Miata wheels they would share for Friday? Or consider us paying for the use of them?
I know it wouldn't help you /your team any, but would be huge for us!!!
